Your data and who can access it.

Paxt uses Apple's Screen Time to enforce your chosen commitments and display activity on your phone. Guardian mode shares the information described below.

Paxt reads the Health and Motion data you allow on your phone to measure steps, walking and running distance, mindful minutes, active calories, time in daylight and workouts. It does not modify your Health records or upload raw Health records to iCloud. Effort summaries are stored on your phone and, when paired, shared as described below.

No Paxt account is required. The app has no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. The Paxt helper processes its conversation on your phone.

We, Paxt's developer, do not have administrative access to your family's private iCloud records. Our developer account does not let us browse, retrieve or export them. The Paxt app on your paired phones can read these records to provide Guardian mode.

This sharing uses Apple's iCloud service. The records are not published in a public database or copied to a server operated by Paxt's developer.

Guardian mode uses the guardian's private iCloud storage, shared with the paired child's account. It shares commitments and app or website selections, names, unlock requests and responses, streaks and outcomes, device and blocking status, and daily and weekly effort summaries for guardian-managed commitments. These summaries can include steps, distance, mindful minutes, active calories, time in daylight and workout measures. Pairing uses the child's name and Apple ID email.

The guardian does not receive the details of commitments the child sets for themselves. The shared streak and outcomes can reflect the child's overall commitment history.

Guardian notifications may include the child's name, the app's name and a note sent with an unlock request. These pass through Apple's notification service and may appear on a lock screen, depending on the recipient's settings.

Manage Health, Motion, Screen Time and notification access in your iPhone's Settings. Removing access can stop related features; it does not erase summaries already shared. Guardian sharing starts when the accounts are paired.

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple. The app checks Apple's purchase records to determine your plan. We do not receive your payment card details.

Local commitment history and effort summaries remain on your phone. Guardian records remain in the guardian's private iCloud storage while paired. Unpair from the guardian's phone to stop sharing and delete the pairing's iCloud records once the operation completes.

Deleting Paxt alone does not delete those iCloud records or your Apple Health records. Unpair before removing the app if you want to remove the shared records. Previously delivered notifications or copies saved by a recipient are not recalled.

Guardian mode requires a family child account and a parent or guardian in the same Family Sharing group who performs the pairing. The family information shared by Paxt is described above. Pairing does not give Paxt's developer access to the family's private iCloud records.

Write to info@paxt.app. We receive the message, your email address and any attachments you choose to send so we can respond. This does not give us access to your private iCloud records. Avoid including health details you do not want to share with us.
